Welcome to UrbexVault. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at urbexvault.app (the "Website"), any mobile applications provided by UrbexVault s.r.o. (the "App"), and all content, services, and products available at or through the platform (collectively, the "Platform").
The Platform is owned and operated by UrbexVault s.r.o., a limited liability company incorporated in the Czech Republic ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").
1. Acceptance of Terms#
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
If you are under 18 years of age, you are strictly prohibited from using this Platform.
2. Nature of Content (Educational & Documentary Only)#
All content provided on the Platform, including but not limited to guides, blog posts, coordinates, and safety tips (the "Content"), is for informational, educational, and documentary purposes only.
- The Content reflects the subjective experiences of authors and may be outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete.
- UrbexVault s.r.o. does not provide professional safety, engineering, or legal advice.
- The publication of Content does not constitute an invitation or encouragement to enter any specific location or engage in any dangerous activity.
3. Assumption of Risk & Safety Warning#
Urban exploration (Urbex), climbing, and visiting abandoned or industrial sites are inherently dangerous activities that carry a high risk of serious physical injury, permanent disability, or death.
By using this Platform, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:
- You are aware of the risks involved (e.g., structural collapse, falls, hazardous materials, toxic gases, high-voltage electricity, and radiofrequency radiation).
- You assume full and total responsibility for your own safety and actions.
- You are responsible for evaluating the legal status of any location. Entry into private property without permission is trespassing and is illegal in most jurisdictions.
4. Limitation of Liability#
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (specifically the laws of the Czech Republic), UrbexVault s.r.o., its executives, founders, employees, and contributors shall NOT be held liable for any:
- Personal injury, death, or health complications.
- Legal consequences, including arrests, fines, or criminal prosecution.
- Loss or damage to personal property.
- Any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Content found on the Platform.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its founders against any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your actions in the field.
5. Prohibited Conduct#
You agree NOT to use the Platform to:
- Plan or execute any illegal acts, including vandalism, theft, or breaking and entering.
- Share content that encourages violence or illegal behavior.
- Harass, abuse, or harm another person.
- Scrape or copy our Content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
6. User-Generated Content (UGC)#
If the Platform allows you to post content (blogs, comments, photos):
- You retain ownership of your content but grant UrbexVault s.r.o. a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, distribute, and modify it.
- You are solely responsible for the legality of your posts.
- UrbexVault s.r.o. acts as a passive host for UGC. We do not pre-screen all content and are not liable for user posts. However, we reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is reported as illegal.
7. Intellectual Property#
Unless otherwise stated, all materials on the Platform are the intellectual property of UrbexVault s.r.o. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of our guides for commercial gain without our express permission.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction#
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic (specifically the court having jurisdiction over the Company's registered office).
9. Changes to Terms#
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
